Rockland 3, Smiths Falls 2

Rockland was able to keep the game to a one goal victory. Smiths Falls outshot Rockland 13-1 in the third period. Sean Storr was big throughout the game making 32 saves on 34 shots. Rockland have now extended their lead in the standings with 56 points while Smiths Falls are 4 points back of a spot.

Connor Beatty, Dallas Maurovic and Mathieu Blanchette had the first three goals in the first two periods to make it 3-0. Ethan Coltart and Alex Dicarlo had the two goals in the third for Smiths Falls but it wasn’t enough. Bradley Dobson made 18 saves in loss.

Nepean 6, Navan 0

Nepean got off to a great start and managed to keep it until the end. Alex Bourhas (1G, 2A) and Oliver Gauthier (2G, 1A) had big afternoon with 3 points in the game. Kyle Alaverdy made 28 saves for his 1st shutout of the season.

Ryan Horvath and Geoff Dempster each had 1G/1A while Denomme and Belisle helped out on two of the six goals from Nepean. Isiah Baptiste had one assist as an AP in this game including his first CCHL game. Nepean has now won four straight games. Navan has now broken the league record for consecutive losses at 25 games. The recent record was 24 that was set by Cumberland Grads in 1994.

F/OT Carleton Place 2, Ottawa 1

This was a very good game to watch. It was all Carleton Place in the first two periods with shots being 27-6. Jr Sens took five penalties in the second period but were able to respond with their first goal from Joe Alexander from Owen Guy to make 1-0 after 40 minutes.

Carleton Place would draw an Interference penalty in the first two minutes of the 3rd and were able to capitalize on their Power Play on a rebound goal from Samuel Knoblauch. Game would go to OT and CP dominated which Tim Theocharidis ended it to clinch 1st place in CCHL for 5th straight season. Connor Hicks was a big difference keeping Ottawa in the game with 40 saves on 42 shots. CP outshot Ottawa 42-15 in the game.

Pembroke 6, Brockville 2

Brockville outshot Pembroke 32-28 but Pembroke took over the hockey game very early. Connor Warnholtz would complete the natural Hat Trick in the first 4:53 in the game. He scored three goals that were 1:22 apart. It’s the first Hat Trick of his CCHL career and broke a career high in goals, now at 22 this year.

Brockville’s Gilmour and Vlahos had the only two goals. Falivena and Kamps each had 1G/1A in the game while Barnaby added 1G/2A in the final two periods. Pembroke has now won 2 straight games and have got at least 1 point in the last 6 games. Brockville are 1-4 in their last five games.
