Sunday Playoff Recap | Ottawa Advances & Cornwall Forces Game Seven

Pembroke, Ontario – The Ottawa Jr. Senators defeated the Pembroke Lumber Kings on Sunday night, 6-1 and move onto the next round to take on the Brockville Braves. The Colts on the other hand, forced a game seven with a Cam Hebert double overtime winner.

The Junior Sens were able to get the lead from the start and didn’t look back. Ottawa scored 4 goals in the 3rd period. Pierre-Luc Veillette and Owen Guy both scored 2 goals in the game. The Junior Sens win their series with the Lumber Kings, 4-2.

Pembroke made it interesting with a goal by Vroman in the second period but allowed two goals in the first 45 seconds of the third and Ottawa took over from there.

F | Cornwall 4, Hawkesbury 3 | Series tied 3-3. 

Cameron Hebert scored the game winner for the Colts in overtime finishing the game with 2 goals and 1 assist in this one. Liam Lascelle made a highlight reel save in OT and finished with 46 saves.

Cornwall forces a Game 7 with the overtime win. Hawkesbury Brooks had the start, making 37 saves. Craig had 1G/1A while Boivin had two apples in the loss. Game seven is on Tuesday in Hawkesbury.
