SHAWN CAMERON NAMED LEAGUE MVP & TOP GRADUATING PLAYER

The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Shawn Cameron of the Cumberland Grads has been named league MVP and has been nominated for CJHL Player of the Year.  Cameron has also been named as the leagues Top Graduate Player.

The Sherbrooke, QC native led all CCHL skaters with 40 goals and 91 points in 61 games, topping his numbers from last year by 21 goals and 44 points.  Earned Player of the Month honors in November and took home Player of the Week honors on one occasion as well.

He plays a very strong two-way game as he plays both power-play and penalty kill.  He is very hard to defend due to his skating and foot work and ability to shake off checks.  Can play the part of shooter or playmaker as he is a duel threat and will work for every inch of ice he gets.

He is set to join NCAA RIT for the upcoming school year.
