Carleton Place downs Pembroke, 3-0

The win gave Carleton Place a one-zero lead in the best of seven series.

Canadians put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Pembroke to score on any of their four power plays.

Bryce VanHorn also scored for Carleton Place. More assists for Carleton Place came via Alex Robinson, who had two and Brett Murray, Marcus Joseph, Maxime StPierre, and Jordan Larson, who contributed one apiece.

Colton Point made 17 saves for Carleton Place on 17 shots. Canadians incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lumber Kings' Boyd Diclemente stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Pembroke incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
