Saturday Recap | OJS extends winning streak to six games

Ottawa, Ontario – The Ottawa Jr. Senators extended their winning streak to six games after a 4-3 win over the Smiths Falls Bears on Saturday night at the Jim Durrell Sports Complex.

Ottawa took a 4-1 lead in the second period, scoring three unanswered goals within the final four minutes of the frame.

Smiths Falls scored two late goals to make it 4-3 but couldn’t tie the game after a couple of prime opportunities in front of Joshua Ward who made 31 saves in the win.

Owen Cole scored twice, Elie Boulerice had two assists, Ottawa 67’s prospect Alec Belanger netted his first CCHL goal and Darcy Walsh extended his point streak to 10 games with an assist.

Alex Way and Anthony Ieradi scored the Bears only goals in the loss, both coming on the power-play in the third period.
