Reynolds acquired by CP in Blockbuster Trade with Navan

Ottawa, Ont. — The Carleton Place Canadian have acquired superstar forward Keenan Reynolds from the Navan Grads as part of a four-player deal on Thursday.

Reynolds (’97), was sent to Carleton Place in exchange for forward Shawn Kennedy (’99), Arik Breton (’98) and the rights to defenceman Axel Cote (’98).

The Navan, Ont. native had recorded a point-per-game with the second last-place Grads this season, tallying 30 points (15G, 15A) in 28 games prior to Thursday’s trade.

Breton, 19, scored one goal (10A) in 22 games with the Canadians this season.

Kennedy, 18, had just appeared in five games with CP, totaling two points (1G/1A) before being traded Thursday.

The rights to Axel Cote were also acquired by Navan in the deal. Cote, 19, was traded by the 73’s to the Canadians earlier this week before being flipped today. The Terrebone, Que. native had four points (1G/3A) in 14 games with Kemptville prior to the trade.
