Release | Grads’ Jaeden Nelson Voted Top Prospect

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Navan Grads goaltender Jaeden Nelson has been awarded the 2023/24 Top Prospect Award. 

Currently in his first season in the CCHL, the 2007 born Ottawa, ON has a record of 24-8-2. As well, currently first overall among rookie goaltenders in wins (24) and second in SV% (0.922). He has also earned the Source for Sports Rookie of the Month in February.

“The CCHL is full of excellent prospects and for Jaeden to be named Top Prospect is certainly an accomplishment to be proud of. Moving on to the Ottawa 67s next season, Jaeden has left his mark on our program and the CCHL. We are extremely proud of his play this year and look forward to watching his continued development in the OHL.” Says Marty Abrams, Navan Grads Head Coach.

During this season, Nelson played two games for the Ottawa 67’s in the Ontario Hockey League. Prior to entering the CCHL, Nelson played for the Ottawa Myers Automotive U15 AAA.
