Release | Colts Keanu Krenn named 2021-22 CCHL Rookie of the Year

OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Cornwall Colts forward Keanu Krenn has been named the 2021-22 Rookie of the Year.

The 2004 born Montreal, QC native sits tops among all CCHL rookie skaters with 35 points in 50 games of action. He leads in both Goals (13) PP Points (11) and Points/GP (0.70). On the season, he has registered nine multiple-point efforts and was named an Honourable Mention for Rookie of the Month on three occasions. He has ultimately been the most consistent rookie skater across the CCHL circuit since the beginning of the campaign.

There is no doubt in a normal season he would have been on the radar to take part in some CJHL & Hockey Canada events such as the World Junior A Challenge and Top Prospects Game.

Prior to his time donning the Colts blue, white, and red, the offensive minded Krenn suited up for the Lac St-Louis Lions of the Quebec Minor Hockey system.
