RECAP: SAMSON'S LATE GOAL LIFTS JR SENS TO 2-1 VICTORY, TAKE 2-0 SERIES LEAD ON CORNWALL

Cornwall – Nicolas Swanson’s goal with less than a minute to play in the 3rd period pushed Ottawa to a 2-1 win over the Colts in game 2 of their CCHL semi-final series.  The Jr. Sens lead the best of seven series 2-0.

 

 

Samson steals, turns on the jets and goes back-hand shelf to give Ottawa the go-ahead marker with just 45 seconds remaining

 

Jaren Burke also scored for Ottawa, while Tanner Spink scored the lone Colts goal.

 

The Colts outshot the Jr. Sens 31-27 with Liam Lascelle suffering the loss in goal.  Ian Andriano earned the goaltending victory for Ottawa.

 

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday in Cornwall.  Game time is 7:30pm at the Ed Lumley Arena.
