Recap | Eastern Canada Cup Day Two

Ottawa, ON – Tuesday afternoon and evening was the second day of the Eastern Canada Cup that is taking place in Trenton, ON. CCHL Robinson lost their first game of the say 4-2 but came back in their second game to win 3-2. CCHL Yzerman won their first game 4-2 and wins 4-0 in their final game of day two.

In the second period, Jace Letourneau (Renfrew Wolves) got the first goal for CCHL Robinson. Davis Hails (Smiths Falls Bears) came to get the second goal of the game for CCHL Robinson. Goaltender Kevin Jones (Pembroke Lumber Kings) ended with 18-saves.

Two goals came from CCHL Yzerman in the first period, one from Brayden Bowen (Cornwall Colts) opens up and Cristobal Tola (Navan Grads) ends the first period. Second period goals came from Ethan Montroy (Cornwall Colts) and Devon Savignac (Navan Grads). Goaltender Jaeden Nelson (Navan Grads) makes 13-saves.

Game Two | F | OJHL St. Louis 2 CCHL Robinson 3

Lucas Culhane (Brockville Braves) gets CCHL Robinson on the board in the first period. Bill Gourgon (Carleton Place Canadians) and Ty Whyte (Kemptville 73’s) get the final goals for CCHL Robinson on day two. Goaltender Dawson Labre (Smiths Falls Bears) ends 40-minutes with 23-saves.

Game Two | F | QJHL Perron 0 CCHL Yzerman 4

Kobe Tallman (Cornwall Colts) his a hat trick securing the first two goals in the first and caps off the hat trick in the second. Remi Gelinas (Hawkesbury Hawks) gets his goal in the 1st period. Goaltender Donald Hickey (Cornwall Colts) gets a shutout win making 12-saves.
