Recap | Day 3 results from CCHL Fall Showcase

 

OTTAWA, ON – The third and final day of the CCHL Fall Showcase saw victories from Rockland, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, Ottawa, Cornwall, and Nepean. 

 

F | ROCKLAND 6 BROCKVILLE 5

Nicolas White and Adriano Lombardo-Tullo scored twice, Xavier Laurent and Charles Locas scored singles, while Ben Grahame made 23-saves as Rockland improved to 5-0-1-1 on the year. Brockville, who fell to 2-5-0-0, had two goals apiece from Kyle Powers and Luke Tchor, a single from Aidan Yarde, while Sami Molu made 20-saves in the loss.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 HAWKESBURY 2

Sean James scored twice, Riley Thompson and Alec Hamady also scored, while Will McEvoy made 24-saves as Smiths Falls went a perfect 3-0 in the showcase to improve to 4-3-0-1 on the season. Hawkesbury, who dropped to a record of 3-3-1-1, had goals from Nathan Gagne and Remi Gagne, while Dimitri Pelekos made 41-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 PEMBROKE 2

Derek Hamilton scored two goals, Josh Penney, Caton Ryan, and Brandon Walker also found the net, while Joe Chambers made 31-saves as Carleton Place improve to 6-2-0-0 on the year. Pembroke, who fell to 2-5-0-0, had two goals off the stick of Lucas Legault, while Ben Forget made 29-saves in the loss.

 

F | OTTAWA 3 KEMPTVILLE 2

Massimo Gentile, Emile Villiard, and Anton Sorensen scored goals, while Connor Shibley made 35-saves as Ottawa improved their season record to 6-1-0-0. Kemptville, who fell to 2-6-0-0, had goals from Ty Whyte and Emile Trottier, while Jacob Biron made 23-saves on the losing side of things.

 

F | CORNWALL 4 RENFREW 3 SO

Nathan Garnier scored twice, Liam Verdoni added one of his own and the shootout winner, while Dax Easter continued his dominance in net with 41-saves as Cornwall improved to 5-1-1-0 on the season. Renfrew, who fell to 5-2-0-1, had goals from Trent Scullion, Noah Vom Scheidt, and Tyson Tomasini, while Sebastian Resar made 28-saves in the loss.

 

F | NEPEAN 4 NAVAN 3 OT

Luka Benoit scored twice in regulation, Tyler Melvin also scored, while Nicholas Larkin netted the overtime winner, while Gage Stewart made 29-saves as Nepean came back from down 3-0 to win and improve to 2-5-0-2 on the season. Navan, who fell to 4-2-2-0, had goals from Cayden Faust, Cameron Vassos, and Nicholas Bennett, while Braedyn McIntosh made 20-saves in the loss.
