Recap | Day 2 Results from CCHL Fall Showcase

 

OTTAWA, ON – More exciting action and down to the wire match-ups in Day 2 of the CCHL Fall Showcase. The Nepean Raiders, Pembroke Lumber Kings, Smiths Falls Bears, Hawkesbury Hawks, Cornwall Colts, and Ottawa Junior Senators claimed victories.

 

F | NEPEAN 7 CARLETON PLACE 3

Luka Benoit and Joshua Reid netted hat-tricks, Luca Ricciardi scored a single, while Luca Sandu made 46-saves as Nepean notched their first victory of the season to improve to 1-5-0-2. Carleton Place, who dropped to 5-2-0-0, had goals from Thomas Dickey, Derek Hamilton, and Carter Pilon in the loss.

 

F | PEMBROKE 1 NAVAN 0 OT

Raphael Seguin scored the overtime winner, while Ben Forget had a 29-save shutout as Pembroke improved to 2-4-0-0 on the year. Navan had a 21-save effort from Diego D’Alessandro in the loss as they fell to 4-2-1-0.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 3 ROCKLAND 2 SO

Owen Watson scored both regulation goals and the lone goal in the shootout, while Will McEvoy made 37-saves as Smiths Falls improved their record on the season to 3-3-0-1. Rockland, who fell to 4-0-1-1, had goals from Zach Power and Adriano Lombardo-Tullo, while Hadyn Gould made 27-saves in the losing effort. 

 

F | HAWKESBURY 3 BROCKVILLE 2

Pier-Olivier Allard, Noah Leithman, and Jeremy Tremblay scored goals, while Dimitri Pelekos made 18-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 3-2-1-1 on the year. Brockville, who fell to 2-4-0-0, had goals from Colin Elliott and Thomas Haynes, while Philip Rondina made 29-saves in the loss.

 

F | CORNWALL 2 KEMPTVILLE 1

Nicolas Gingras and Nathan Garnier scored goals, while Dax Easter made 21-saves as Cornwall improved to 4-1-1-0 on the year. Kemptville, who fell to 2-5-0-0, had their lone goal from Tanner Fennell, while Conor Blackwood finished with 25-saves in the loss.

 

F | OTTAWA 3 RENFREW 1

Anton Sorensen scored twice, Braxton Ross also found the net, while Rorke Applebee made 27-saves as Ottawa improved their season record to 5-1-0-0. Renfrew, who fell to 5-2-0-0, had their lone goal off the stick of Frederic D’Amours, while Ian Michelone made 21-saves on the losing side of things.
