Pembroke blows out Kanata, 6-1

 

The Pembroke Lumber Kings were firing on all cylinders against the Kanata Lasers, and when the final buzzer sounded Lumber Kings emerged with a 6-1 win.

 

Pembroke was led by Brett Horn, who racked up one goal. Horn scored 12:41 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Pembroke. Fraser Turner picked up the assist.

The Lumber Kings' offense rang up 52 shots on Kanata's net. Pembroke bested its season scoring average. The Lumber Kings average 3.0 goals per game.

Pembroke also got points from Stephen Cooney, who also registered one goal and one assist. Pembroke also had goals scored by Justin Felhaber, who had two and Michael Miller and Jesse Blais, who each put in one. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Wesley Ashley, Chris Minns, Kris Lalonde, Tristan Whynot, Ryan Casselman, and Nicolas Vlahos, who each chipped in one and Cale List and Adam Beveridge, who contributed two each.

Gabe Mollot-Hill recorded 23 saves for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Lasers' Evan Moyse stopped 46 shots out of the 52 that he faced. Kanata incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
