October Award Winners Announced

Ottawa, Ont.

The Central Canada Hockey league announced its CCM monthly award winners for October on Thursday.

Carleton Place Canadians forward Samuel Knoblauch (Rochester, MI) earned Player of the Month honours. The uncommitted ’98-born forward notched 18 points (6G, 12A) in 11 October contests, and currently leads the CCHL in points (37).

Hawkesbury Hawks netminder Matthew Petizian (Mississauga, Ont.) was named Goalie of the Month. The uncommitted ’98-born goaltender won five of his seven starts in October and posted three shutouts; Petizian now sits third in the league in goals-against (2.03) and fourth in save-% (.930).

Rockland Nationals Goaltender Zach Roy (Callandar, Ont.) was named Rookie of the Month. The ’01-born Hamilton Bulldogs prospect pitched a shutout on 10/05 against Kanata and registered a .920 save-% over four starts in October.
