Morning Recap | Kanata, Kemptville, and Smiths Falls win in Tuesday Showcase action

 

Smiths Falls, ON – It was Day 1 of the CCHL Mid-Season Showcase with half of the league in action, which saw victories from the Kanata Lasers, Kemptville 73’s, and Smiths Falls Bears.

 

F | KANATA 7 NAVAN 2

Liam Markhauser, Mathieu Parent, Paul Larabie, Julian Recine, Austin Paul, Trevor Poeze, and Derek St. Jean all found the back of the net, while Vincent Bujold-Roux made 34-saves as Kanata improved to 15-9-1-2. Navan saw their record fall to 11-17-0-0.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 3 NEPEAN 2 SO

 Chase Lammi and Jeff Taylor scored in regulation, Lammi would also tally the shootout winner, while Riley McCabe made 22-saves as Kemptville improved their season record to 9-15-3-0. Nepean, who saw their record fall to 4-20-1-2, had both their goals from Joshua Shimizu, while Tyler Laureault made 31-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 6 HAWKESBURY 3

Reid Russett (2), Justin Trudel, Ryan Richardson, Andre Simard, and Shawn Sloan scored goals, while Victor Desjardins made 29-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 11-13-0-1 on the season. Hawkesbury fell to 13-13-1-0.
