Morning Recap | Grads, Nationals, and Braves victorious Wednesday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Three games of CCHL action on Wednesday saw the Navan Grads, Rockland Nationals, and Brockville Braves picking up wins.

 

NAVAN 2 OTTAWA 1

Braeden McKinnon and Cayden Faust found the back of the net, while Benjamin West made 33-saves as Navan improved their season record to 25-20-1-1. Ottawa, who fell to 39-6-2-2, had their lone goal from Philippe Jacques, while Zachary Bowen made 30-saves in the losing effort.

 

ROCKLAND 5 NEPEAN 3

Yanic Crete and Alexandre Frechette had two goals apiece, Patrick Lanthier had a single, while Charles Schenkel made 45-saves as Rockland improved to 20-22-4-2 on the year. Nepean, who dropped to 11-36-2-0, had goals from Zachary Lefebvre, Jordan Graham, and Todd Northgrave, while Nathan Loisel made 46-saves in the losing effort.

 

BROCKVILLE 3 HAWKESBURY 2 OT

Owen Belisle and Jack McDonald scored in regulation, Ryan Bonfield was the overtime hero, while Sami Molu made 35-saves as Brockville improved their record on the season to 34-14-0-2. Hawkesbury, who fell to 33-11-3-2, had goals from Rylee Hlusiak and Josh Spratt, while Matthew Tovell made 15-saves in the loss.
