Morning Recap | Four Games on Family Day Monday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Family Day Monday saw a rare slate of games for the CCHL with the Carleton Place Canadians, Pembroke Lumber Kings, Hawkesbury Hawks, and Brockville Braves all skating to victories.

 

CARLETON PLACE 3 SMITHS FALLS 0

Isaac Pascoal, Derek Hamilton, and Marco Iozzo netted goals, while Joe Chambers made 23-saves as Carleton Place improved to 15-18-1-3 on the season. Smiths Falls, who dropped to 11-21-2-0, had a 33-save effort from Dalton McBride in the loss. 

 

PEMBROKE 2 RENFREW 1

Carter Vollett and Jesse Kirkby found the back of the net, while Reece Proulx made 42-saves as Pembroke improved their season record to 21-11-2-2. Renfrew, who fell to 21-13-1-1, had their lone goal from Connor Garcia, while Will Craig made 23-saves in the losing effort.

 

HAWKESBURY 7 KEMPTVILLE 3

Jeremy Quesnel tallied a hat-trick, Rylee Hlusiak, Jakson Kirk, Mark Cooper, and Joshua Spratt netted singles, while Dimitri Pelekos made 20-saves as Hawkesbury won their 8th straight game to improve to 25-9-1-2 on the year. Kemptville, who fell to 20-11-2-2, had goals from Chase Lammi, Benjamin Campeau, and Hunter Brazier, while Tyler Laureault made 26-saves on the losing end of things.

 

BROCKVILLE 4 CORNWALL 2

Luke Tchor, Anthony Biniaris, Ryan Bonfield, and Caleb Kean all scored in the third period, while Brandon Abbott made 27-saves as Brockville came from behind to improve to 24-10-0-2 on the season. Cornwall, who dropped to 8-23-3-4, had goals from Will McKinley and Tristan Miron, while Emile Savoie made 33-saves in the loss.
