Morning Recap | Five Games Across CCHL region Friday night

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL region on Friday night, saw the Navan Grads, Smiths Falls Bears, Renfrew Wolves, Brockville Braves, and Hawkesbury Hawks all get into the win column.

 

NAVAN 8 NEPEAN 4

Devyn Orpana and Gabriel Crete scored two goals apiece, Alec Lovisek, Nolan Forster, Cayden Faust, and Justin Louette-Isaac added singles, while Ben West made 23-saves as Navan improved their season record to 12-6-0-1. Nepean, who saw their record fall to 6-12-1-0, received goals from Jeff Taylor, Zachary Lefebvre, Ryan Liverman, and Rylan Iwachniuk in the loss.

 

SMITHS FALLS 2 ROCKLAND 0

Conor Ronayne and Nicolas Lariviere scored goals, while Victor Desjardins had a 17-save shutout as Smiths Falls improved to 5-13-1-0 on the season. Rockland, who saw their record drop to 4-12-2-1, had a 25-save effort from Jack McGovern in the loss.

 

RENFREW 1 CARLETON PLACE 0

Charlie Johnson netted the lone goal of the game off of a penalty shot, while Will Craig had an 18-save shutout as Renfrew improved their record on the year to 12-5-0-0. Carleton Place, who saw their record drop to 8-10-0-1, had a 22-save effort from Joe Chambers in the loss.

 

BROCKVILLE 3 CORNWALL 1

Patrick Lanthier netted two goals, Stephen Whittle also hit the back of the net, while Sami Molu made 23-saves in his debut as Brockville improved to 11-6-0-2 on the year. Cornwall, who dropped to 3-13-3-3, had their lone goal off the stick of Will McKinley, while Alex Houston made 31-saves on the losing side of things.

 

HAWKESBURY 5 PEMBROKE 1

Jeremy Quesnel, Rylee Hlusiak, Josh Spratt, Max Klanow, and William Gendron tallied goals, while Max Donoso made 31-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 13-5-0-2 on the season. Pembroke, who fell to 13-4-1-1, had their lone goal from Jack Stockfish, while Dalton McBride made 29-saves in the loss.
