Morning Recap | Five Games Across CCHL on Busy Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL on Sunday, saw victories from the Cornwall Colts, Renfrew Wolves, Carleton Place Canadians, Navan Grads, and Smiths Falls Bears.

 

CORNWALL 8 NEPEAN 1

Simon Laferriere, Kobe Tallman, Bradley Fraser, Brayden Bowen, Keanu Krenn, Jacob Knickle, Justin Ouellette, and Aaron Shaw all found the back of the net, while Emile Savoie made 28-saves as Cornwall improved their record to 11-30-3-4 on the season. Nepean, who fell to 11-35-2-0, had their lone goal from Owen Hollingsworth.

 

RENFREW 6 HAWKESBURY 3

Jakob Kalin and Mason Goldie each scored twice, Connor Garcia and Preston Brighton added singles, while Will Craig made 30-saves as Renfrew improved their season record to 30-16-1-1. Hawkesbury, who fell to 32-11-2-2, had goals from Jakson Kirk, Josh Spratt, and Willyam Gendron, while Matthew Tovell made 25-saves in the losing effort.

 

CARLETON PLACE 6 BROCKVILLE 4

Matteo Disipio, Isaac Pascoal, Ethan Woolsey, Brandon Walker, Devin Pimm, and Gino Colangelo tallied goals, while Joe Chambers made 30-saves as Carleton Place improved to 17-27-1-3 on the year. Brockville, who fell to 33-14-0-2, had goals from Owen Rainey, Justin Dauphinais, Landon Wright, and Thomas Haynes, while Brandon Abbott made 23-saves in the loss.

 

NAVAN 6 KEMPTVILLE 5 OT

Ryan Burke netted a hat trick, Alexandre Hogue, and Alec Lovisek also found the net in regular time, Nicholas Paone scored the overtime winner, while Carter Garvie made 30-saves as Navan improved their record on the season to 24-20-1-1. Kemptville, who fell to 25-16-5-2, had two-goal efforts from Brock Krulicki and Devon Savignac, a single from Ty Whyte, while Tyler Laureault made 35-saves in the loss.

 

SMITHS FALLS 5 PEMBROKE 3

Owen Watson scored twice, Cory Liu, Conor Ronayne, and Riley Thompson added singles, while Will McEvoy made 52-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 18-25-2-1 on the year. Pembroke, who dropped to 27-18-2-2, had goals from Joe Jordan, Jack Stockfish, and Jacob Zwirecki, while Isaac Wilson made 20-saves in the loss.
