Morning Recap | Busy Friday of CCHL action

 

Ottawa, ON – Five games through out the CCHL region on Friday night saw victories from the Brockville Braves, Kemptville 73’s, Smiths Falls Bears, Carleton Place Canadians, and Pembroke Lumber Kings.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 OTTAWA 2

In the annual School Day Game for Pembroke, the Lumber Kings received goals from Fletcher Anderson (2), Cameron Hough, and Brady Egan, while Reece Proulx made 31-saves as Pembroke improved to 11-9-0-0 on the year. Ottawa, who fell to 12-6-1-0, had goals from Owen Cole and Thomas Freel, while Joshua Ward made 19-saves in the loss.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 NAVAN 1

Caleb Kean, Elliot McDermott, Mark Cooper, Brett Thorne, and Jake Code found the net, while Devon Levi made 22-saves as Carleton Place improved their season record to a CCHL best 16-3-1-0. Navan fell to 7-12-0-0 on the year.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 3 ROCKLAND 1

Alex Lewis, Ethan Nyrstrom, and Tate Leeson scored goals, while Jake Smith made 35-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 8-9-0-1 on the season. Rockland had their 6-game winning streak snapped and saw their record fall to 14-5-0-0.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 2 HAWKESBURY 1

Madoka Suzuki and Yancy Whitaker had the goals, while Riley McCabe made 35-saves as Kemptville improved to 7-9-2-0 on the season. Hawkesbury, who fell to 11-8-0-0, had their lone goal off the stick of Jeremie Payant, while Mathieu Chenier finished with 31-saves in the loss.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 1 CORNWALL 0

Simon Kerr scored the lone goal of the game, while Simon Harkness had a 13-save shutout as Brockville improved to 10-4-3-0. Rico Dimatteo made 35-saves in the loss for Cornwall who fell to 3-13-1-1 on the season.
