Morning Recap | Busy Friday night with all twelve teams in action

 

OTTAWA, ON – A full slate of games Friday night saw all twelve teams in action, with wins coming from the Pembroke Lumber Kings, Navan Grads, Smiths Falls Bears, Rockland Nationals, Ottawa Junior Senators, and Hawkesbury Hawks.

 

PEMBROKE 2 CORNWALL 0

Raphael Seguin and Jacob Zwirecki notched goals, while Reece Proulx was perfect in the crease making 25-saves for the shutout as Pembroke improved to 22-11-2-2 on the season. Cornwall, who dropped to 8-25-3-4, had a 22-save effort from Dax Easter in the loss.

 

NAVAN 8 CARLETON PLACE 6

Devyn Orpana scored twice, Nicholas Paone, Alec Lovisek, Owen Parsons, Ryan Burke, Braeden McKinnon, and Blake Hall also found the back of the net, while Ben West made 28-saves as Navan improved their season record to 20-13-0-1. Carleton Place, who dropped to 15-19-1-3, had a hat-trick from Derek Hamilton and singles from Matteo Disipio, Brandon Walker, and Devin Pimm.

 

SMITHS FALLS 5 RENFREW 3

Brody Fournier scored twice, Riley Thompson, Conor Ronayne, and Finnegan Kilmurray also scored, while Dalton McBride made 29-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 13-21-2-0. Renfrew, who fell to 21-14-1-1, had goals from Mason Goldie, Tyson Tomasini, and Tyson Phare, while Andrew Cristea made 41-saves in the losing effort.

 

ROCKLAND 4 NEPEAN 1

Hugo Marcil, Gabriel Filion, Dean Taylor, and Nick White scored goals, while Jack McGovern made 26-saves as Rockland improved their record on the season to 14-19-2-1. Nepean, who dropped to 9-28-1-0, had their lone goal from Louis Chabot, while Connor Shibley made 38-saves on the losing end of things.

 

OTTAWA 3 KEMPTVILLE 2 OT

Simon Isabelle and Bodie Nobes scored in regulation, Anthony Provost netted the OT winner, while William Desmarais made 31-saves as Ottawa improved their record to a CCHL-best 30-4-1-1. Kemptville, who fell to 20-12-3-2, had goals from Ty Whyte and Matthew York, while Tyler Laureault made 36-saves in the losing effort.

 

HAWKESBURY 5 BROCKVILLE 1

Jeremy Tremblay, Thomas Cusson, Jakson Kirk, Josh Spratt, and Tyler Samodral found the back of the net, while Matthew Tovell made 29-saves as Hawkesbury won their ninth straight game, improving to 26-9-1-2. Brockville, who fell to 24-11-0-2, had their lone goal from Ryan Bonfield, while Sami Molu made 33-saves in the loss.
