OTTAWA, ON – Four games across the CCHL region on Super Bowl Sunday, saw the Hawkesbury Hawks, Navan Grads, Ottawa Junior Senators, and Rockland Nationals all claim victories.
HAWKESBURY 4 KEMPTVILLE 1
Kerfalla Toure, Thomas Cusson, Mark Cooper, and Ryan Murphy scored goals, while Matthew Tovell made 26-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 21-9-1-2 on the season. Kemptville, who fell to 18-10-2-2, had their lone goal from Devon Savignac, while Tyler Laureault made 23-saves in the losing effort.
NAVAN 3 PEMBROKE 2
Ryan Burke scored twice, Owen Parsons added a single, while Ben West made 19-saves as Navan improved their season record to 19-10-0-1. Pembroke, who dropped to 20-8-2-2, had goals from Sawyer Prokopetz and Grayson Ebrahim, while Reece Proulx made 34-saves on the losing end of things.
OTTAWA 4 NEPEAN 2
Julian Recine, Vincent Velocci, Philippe Jacques, and Thomas Freel scored goals, while Zachary Bowen made 21-saves for his first career CCHL victory as Ottawa won their ninth straight to improve to 26-3-1-1 on the season. Nepean, who saw their record fall to 7-25-1-0, had goals from Zachary Lefebvre and Owen Hollingsworth, while Connor Shibley made 37-saves in the loss.
ROCKLAND 3 CARLETON PLACE 0
Manny Cabral, John Mulvihill, and Joshua Reid scored goals, while Jack McGovern pitched a 41-save shutout as Rockland improved to 11-18-2-1 on the season. Carleton Place, who fell to 12-17-1-3 had a 23-save effort from Joe Chambers in the loss.
