Morning Playoff Recap | Canadians and Jr Senators open Semis with victories

 

Ottawa, ON – The Carleton Place Canadians and Ottawa Jr Senators both opened up their Bogart Cup Semi Final match-ups with victories.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 3 ROCKLAND 1

Brett Thorne (2G, 1A), Elliot McDermott (1G, 1A), Reece Bolton (2A), and Zach Tupker (2A) had multi-point games, while Connor Murphy made 33-saves as Carleton Place took a 1-0 lead on Rockland in their opening game.

Daniel Menges had the lone goal for the Nationals, while Joseph Giacobbo made 30-saves in the loss.

Game 2 goes Tuesday night in Rockland at 7:30PM. 

 

F | OTTAWA 2 BROCKVILLE 1 2OT

Danny Pion tallied a  regulation marker, Owen Cole netted the OT winner, while Francis Boisvert made 22-saves as the Jr Senators jumped out to a 1-0 series lead on the Brockville Braves.

John Michael DiGregorio scored for Brockville, while Liam Souliere made 41-saves in the losing effort.

Game 2 goes Tuesday night in Brockville at 7:30PM.
