Marotte stymies Smiths Falls, Nepean wins 3-1

 

Francis Marotte had a standout game with 35 saves, and the Nepean Raiders beat the Smiths Falls Bears 3-1.

 

Nepean was sparked by Raphael Lecours, who tallied one goal. Lecours scored 1:32 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Nepean. Josh Zizek assisted on the tally.

The Raiders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Others who scored for Nepean included Kari Belec and Justin Hess, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Rowan Savidant, Blake Dalton, and Samuel Meisenheimer, who each chipped in one.
