Kemptville's Row deadly on offense in 6-3 win against Smiths Falls

 

Behind a great game by Alex Row, who had two goals, the Kemptville 73s defeated the Smiths Falls Bears, 6-3.

Row scored at 4:44 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Kemptville and again while 11:02 into the third to make the score 5-3 Kemptville.

 

Smiths Falls was unable to stop Kemptville from sending pucks towards the net, and the 73s eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Kemptville found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The 73s average 3.7 goals per game.

Kemptville also got points from Jason Tackett, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Jake Gaudet, who also had one goal and one assist. Kemptville also had goals scored by Jack Hale and Owen Guy, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville were Adam Alavi, who had two and Kaelan OFlynn, Dean Kiriacou, Victor Tracy, and Bobby Dow, who each chipped in one.

The Bears were helped by Cole Busschaert, who finished with one goal. Busschaert scored 20:00 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Josh Leblanc picked up the assist. Others who scored for Smiths Falls included Corey Caruso and Joey Rutkowski, who scored one goal each. In addition, Smiths Falls received assists from Jared Henry, Chris MacMillan, Brett Garvey, and Michael McKenney, who contributed one each.

Peter Brooks rejected 24 shots on goal for Kemptville. The 73s incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Evan DeBrouwer recorded 30 saves for Smiths Falls. The Bears incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
