The Central Canada Hockey League and Hawkesbury Hawks are pleased to announce that 1996 born defenseman Julien Denicourt has verbally committed to Hobart College in Geneva, NY for the 2016-17 school year.
Denicourt, a 5-9, 175 lb two-way defenseman has posted solid numbers in his lone season of CCHL action with 7 goals and 26 points through 55 games. The Bromont, QC native has a strong work ethic, shoots the puck well, is calm under pressure, and plays well in all three zones. He has the ability to read off defenders on the powerplay knowing when to move into the slot for a shot or hang back to create space. The tools are raw but they are there and will be developed with continued development.
