JR SENS SULLIVAN VERBALLY COMMITS TO OSWEGO STATE

The Central Canada Hockey League & Ottawa Jr Senators are pleased to announce that winger Jody Sullivan has committed to Oswego State University for the 2016-17 season.

Sullivan, who was acquired by the Jr Sens from the Nepean Raiders in early December put together a very strong final season of junior hockey.  The Cardinal, ON native finished with 31 goals and 61 points in 59 games, eclipsing his 2014-15 totals (6 goals, 17 points in 61 games) by a very large margin.  He would also add 7 goals and 25 points in 18 playoff games, leading all players.

Before his time in the CCHL, the 5-11, 190 lb winger spent time in the old EOJHL circuit (now CCHL2) where he played for the Prescott Flyers & Casselman Vikings.

Known as a good skater with high quality defensive instincts, Sullivan is deadly on the forecheck as he forces defenders into making costly mistakes.  He is an energy type player, who won’t back down from the rough stuff, has a ton of heart and character, and rises to the occasion.  He finds a higher gear when the game means more.

He will now make the jump to NCAA III as a member of the prestigious Oswego State Lakers Hockey Program in Oswego, NY.
