Hawkesbury downs Ottawa, 5-2

 

The Hawkesbury Hawks beat the Ottawa Senators, 5-2.

 

Hawkesbury was helped by Vincent Crivello, who registered one goal. Crivello scored 15:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hawkesbury. Bruno Cheff provided the assist. Others who scored for Hawkesbury included Damien Charette, Adriano Leone, Julien Denicourt, and Chris Smith, who scored one goal each. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Charles Levesque, Johnathan Kovacevic, Ryan Bunka, Joe Smith, Brett Everson, and Reid Murphy, who contributed one each.

Ottawa's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Senators give up 2.5 goals per game.

Ottawa was led by Jody Sullivan, who finished with one goal. Sullivan scored 14:44 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Hawkesbury. Ottawa also got a goal from Jaren Burke as well. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Sean Rappleyea and Greg Meireles, who each chipped in one.

Cole Skinner made 24 saves for the Hawks on 26 shots. Hawkesbury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Senators' Ian Andriano stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Ottawa incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
