Game Recap | Brockville, Renfrew and Smiths Falls Win on Friday Night

This Friday night, post Fall 2023 Showcase three games were happening at 7:30pm. Within those games; Brockville, Renfrew and Smiths Falls take the win under their belt.

F | Kemptville 0 Brockville 4

Kemptville faced off against Brockville in an intense hockey showdown. The 1st and 2nd periods saw no scoring from either team, with both goaltenders, Jacob Biron for Kemptville and Dax Easter for Brockville, showcasing their skills with impressive saves.

However, the 3rd period proved to be decisive as Brockville unleashed an offensive barrage. Marcus Mori, Owen Watson, Lucas Culhane, and Liam Reid each netted a goal, securing a commanding 4-0 victory for Brockville. Biron made 21 saves for Kemptville, while Easter turned away 26 shots for Brockville.

F | Renfrew 4 Hawkesbury 3 (SO)

Renfrew and Hawkesbury battled it out. In the 1st period, Tal Stevenson scored for Renfrew, and Alex Fournier responded for Hawkesbury. The 2nd period saw Alexis Billequey put Hawkesbury ahead, but Jace Letourneau and Dane Carter struck back for Renfrew. Wyatt Schmidek scored for Hawkesbury in the 3rd period. With no goals in overtime, Renfrew claimed a 4-3 shootout win, with Andrew Morton sealing the victory.

Viacheslav Gordeichuk made 30 saves for Renfrew, while Dimitri Pelekos stopped 39 shots for Hawkesbury.

F | Carleton Place 4 Smiths Falls 8

Smiths Falls emerged victorious. Trevor Faucher and Tyson Parker notched goals in the 1st period, with Shaymus Stevenson, Kyle James, and Matthew Dimaline adding to the tally. Loic Prudhomme scored for Carleton Place. Alec Hamady and Shaymus Stevenson found the net again for Smiths Falls in the 3rd period, while Aidan Cooper, Owen Colter, and Will Soloway scored for Carleton Place. Ian Vandenberg and Jackson Pundyk shared goaltending duties for Carleton Place, while Dawson Labre made 23 saves for Smiths Falls.
