Cornwall downs Kanata, 5-2

 

Tristan Elie grabbed two points to lead the Cornwall Colts to a 5-2 victory over the Kanata Lasers.

 

Cornwall forced Lasers' goalies to work all game long, racking up 39 shots and forcing 34 saves. Alex Butler made 12 stops and Evan Moyse made 22.

Cornwall also got points from Dean Derouchie, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Parker Krol, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Cornwall included Nick Lalonde and Brennan Markell, who scored one goal each. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Matthew Morin, who had two and Eric Verville, Tristan Conrad, and Tanner Spink, who each chipped in one.

Kanata also had goals scored by David Pearce and Roshen Jaswal, who each put in one. More assists for Kanata came via Jacob Moreau, Louis-Charles Croteau, Jacob Cuffley, and Mike McArthur, who contributed one each.

James Edwardson rejected 24 shots on goal for the Colts. Cornwall incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Kanata incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
