Commitment Alert | Nationals Yanic Crete commits to University of Prince Edward Island

 

ROCKLAND, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Rockland Nationals are pleased to announce that 2002 born L’Orignal, ON native Yanic Crete has committed to USPORTS University of Prince Edward Island for the 2023-24 school year.

Crete, who recently completed his final year of junior hockey, led the Nationals in scoring with 58 points (21G, 37A) in 48 games of action. In 129 career games between the Nationals and Hawkesbury Hawks, Crete totalled 115 points (44G, 71A).

He also played over 70 games at the Major Junior level with the Ottawa 67’s and Saint John Sea Dogs.

In 2017-18 he was named HEO U18 AAA Rookie of the Year while he was a member of the Hawkesbury Hawks U18AAA program when he totalled 49 points (20G, 29A) in 41 games. 

Crete is a product of the Eastern Ontario Wild AAA Minor Hockey Association.
