OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Ottawa Junior Senators are pleased to announce that 2001 born Ottawa, ON native Thomas Freel has committed to NCAA University of Maine.
Freel is in his third season with the Junior Senators, where he has totaled 94 points (51G, 43A) in 97 career games. On the season, he sits fourth overall in CCHL scoring with 44 points (23G, 21A) in 32 games, his 23 goals are a CCHL-best.
Prior to his time in the CCHL, Freel suited up in the EOJHL with the Ottawa Jr Canadians in 2018-19 and with the Ottawa Junior Senators U18 AAA club from 2016-2018.
Freel is a product of the Ottawa Jr 67’s AAA and Ottawa Sting AA Minor Hockey programs.
