CARLETON PLACE, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Carleton Place Canadians are pleased to announce that 2002 born Newmarket, ON native Gino Colangelo has committed to NCAA University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for the 2023-24 school year.
Colangelo, who is in his third season with the Canadians, which included the Development Season during the pandemic, totalled 47 points (14G, 33A) in 50 games this season, finishing 4th among all Canadians skaters. In 104 career games, Colangelo scored 20 goals and added 47 assists.
Prior to his time in the CCHL, he spent two years at Hill Academy of the ECEL.
He came up through the York Simcoe Express AAA Minor Hockey program.
