Commitment Alert | Braves Jake Begley commits to NCAA Colorado College

Brockville, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Brockville Braves are pleased to announce that goaltender Jake Begley has committed to NCAA Colorado College for the 2020-21 season.

The 1999 St. Paul, MN native is in his first and final season with the Braves where he sits 2nd in the league in Wins (24), GAA (2.27), SV% (.924), and Shutouts (2).

“It has always been a dream to play Division 1 Hockey and Brockville gave me the chance to earn that opportunity,” said Begley. “Playing in the CCHL at a high level of competition made it possible for schools to know my game could translate to the next level. Everything has been great in Brockville, from my teammates, to the coaching staff, to the billets. It makes me comfortable to play when you know everyone around you has your back. I would like to thank the coaches, the fans, my billets, and my parents most of all for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to continue my education and hockey career.”

Prior to his time in the CCHL, Begley had stints in both the USHL and NAHL. He is an alumni of Hill-Murray High School in Minnesota.
