SMITHS FALLS, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Smiths Falls Bears are pleased to announce that 2005 born Nepean, ON native Ty Campbell has committed to NCAA Clarkson University.
The two-way defenseman is currently in his first season of CCHL action, where he totaled 14 points (5G, 9A) through 35 games on the way to being named the recipient of the 2021-22 CCHL Top Prospect Award. He was selected by the Bears in the 2nd round of the 2020 Bantam Protected Draft.
Prior to his time in Junior, Campbell suited up for the Bears U18 AAA club within HEO U18 AAA in 2020-21 and was selected by the Soo Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection following that season.
He came up through both the Myers Automotive AAA and Nepean Raiders AA Minor Hockey programs.
