The Central Canada Hockey League and Cornwall Colts are pleased to announce that ’97 born goaltender Matthew Efros has committed to attend NCAA Division III Nichols College for 2017-18.

The native of Montreal, QC, spent his lone season with the Colts this past season where he went 11-4-2 in 18 starts with a 3.24 GAA and .910 SV%.  Before that he spent two seasons with Groton School of the United States High School circuit.

“I’d like to thank the Cornwall Colts organization, more specifically my teammates, my billet, and my Strength Coach Paul Hudson for helping me become a stronger individual and player,” said Efros.  “I would also like to thank the league for giving me the opportunity to be seen by NCAA coaches.  I’m excited to move on with my hockey career as it has always been a dream to play college hockey.  I am eager to go to a program that’s excited to have me and believes in me regardless of my height (5”4).”

Nichols College, which is in Dudley, MA, plays in the Commonwealth Coast Conference where they finished 2nd overall in 2016-17 with a conference record 12-4-4 and an overall record of 15-7-5.
