CJHL Release | Canadians Devon Levi named Top Rookie in Canada

The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Carleton Place Canadians goaltender Devon Levi has been recognized as the Top Rookie in Canada by the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

The 2001 born Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC native and Northeastern University commit led the entire country with a 1.47 GAA and 8 shutouts, while finishing  2nd in Wins (34) and third in SV% (.941).

On top of back-stopping Carleton Place to their seventh straight regular season title and being named the CCHL’s MVP and Top Prospect, Levi also represented Canada East at the 2019 World Junior A Challenge, helping them to a Silver Medal and earning tournament MVP. He is the 8th ranked North American goaltender for the upcoming NHL Entry Draft.

“Devon is just a special person and athlete,” said Canadians Head Coach Jason Clarke. “There is not a selfish bone in his body, which makes him the best teammate I have ever seen in this program in over 11 years. He has been an MVP to his teammates, goalie partner, our organization and community. His personality and his love for being at the rink is infectious.”
