CHARLES LEVESQUE NAMED CCHL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Hawkesbury Hawks forward Charles Levesque has been named CCHL Rookie of the Year for the 2015-16 season.

The Russell, ON native put together a strong first season as he finished 9th overall in league scoring with 19 goals and 61 points in 62 games.  To his credit he was named Rookie of the Month for November and December and took home Player of the Week honors on one occasion.  He was also a recipient of the Academic Player of the Month award in October and January showing he works just as hard in the classroom as he does on the ice.

The smart energetic centerman may not be the flashiest guy on the ice, but what he lacks in flash he makes up for with his work ethic.  He has a never-ending motor as he is always moving his feet and putting himself in position to contribute offensively.  He has the ability to read plays and has a good accurate shot.  Not the biggest guy but does not shy away from going hard to the net and scores a lot of his goals from there.
