CCHL Recap | Five Games Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL region on Sunday saw victories from the Ottawa Junior Senators, Nepean Raiders, Carleton Place Canadians, Navan Grads, and Kemptville 73’s.

 

F | OTTAWA 3 SMITHS FALLS 2

Andrew Uturo, Massimo Gentile, and James Taylor netted goals, while Rorke Applebee made 22-saves as Ottawa improved to 16-4-2-0 on the season. Smiths Falls, who fell to 15-7-0-1, had goals from Alex McIntosh and Conor Ronayne, while Will McEvoy made 41-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | NEPEAN 5 ROCKLAND 3

Tyler Melvin scored twice, Luke Posthumus, Shane Moodie, and Jordan Graham also scored, while Jordan Provost made 46-saves as Nepean improved to 5-13-0-2 on the year. Rockland, who fell to 9-9-1-2, had goals from Adriano Lombardo-Tullo, Jonathan Swyer, and Samuel Beaulne, while Ben Grahame made 34-saves in the loss.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 2 CORNWALL 0

Cole McGuire and Gino Colangelo scored, while Jackson Pundyk had a 21-save shutout as Carleton Place improved their season record to 11-7-0-1. Cornwall, who dropped to 11-10-1-0, had a 24-save effort from Dax Easter in the loss.

 

F | NAVAN 4 RENFREW 3

Colin MacDougall, Joseph Ianiello, Tio D’Addario, and Max Donohoe found the net, while Braedyn McIntosh made 29-saves as Navan improved to 16-5-2-0 on the year. Renfrew, who fell to 12-7-1-1, had goals from Noah Dom Scheidt, Trent Scullion, and Brendan Waivada, while Nolan McDowell made 30-saves in the loss.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 8 PEMBROKE 6

Grady Logue scored twice, Emile Trottier, Khaden Henry, Matthew Yakubowski, Hunter Brazier, Benjamin Campeau, and Carter Vollett also scored, while Jacob Biron made 30-saves as Kemptville improved to 7-11-3-0 on the year. Pembroke, who dropped to 5-13-1-1, had a hat-trick from Vital Dinis, and singles from Pratt Stetson, Owen Rainey, and Ryan McNally in the loss.
