CCHL Recap | Five games, Five wins on Friday night

Ottawa, ON – 10 teams were in action on Friday night creating lots of buzz around the Central Canada Hockey League. Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, Ottawa, Kemptville and Rockland all came out with a victory.

F | Carleton Place 5 Brockville 2

Carleton Place opens up the first period with three goals coming from Will Soloway, Thomas Dickey and Masen Culley making the end of the first period 3-0 CP. All Brockville scoring in the second from Lucas Culhane and Owen Watson. Third period goes all to Carleton Place with goals from Caton Ryan and Bill Gourgon making Carleton Place win 5-2. Ian Vandenberg ends with 23-saves. Philip Rondina with 26-saves.

F | Renfrew 2 Smiths Falls 3

Trevor Faucher opens up the first period for Smiths Falls followed by Matthew Martin-Gaudreault, SF up 2-0 at the end of the first. Jace Letourneau gets Renfrew on the board in the second, followed by a Smiths Falls goal from Alex McIntosh. Into the third, Dane Carter gets the final goal of the evening for Renfrew. Ethan Dinsdale ends the night with 35-saves, Dawson Labre ends with 25-saves.

F | Ottawa 3 Hawkesbury 2 

No goals in the first period. Two Ottawa goals in the second period from Brandon Paluszak and Ben Albright. Aidan Stubbings gets Hawkesbury on the board. Third period goals one per team. Remi Gelinas from Hawkesbury and Kaleb Dietsch from Ottawa. Goaltenders Will Mizenko gets 29-saves, Dimitri Pelekos with 50-saves.

F | Nepean 1 Kemptville 2 (OT)

Grady Logue gets a last second goal in the first period getting Kemptville on the board. No scoring second period. Nepean gets the goal in the third period from Curtiss Sturgeon. Overtime goal winner for Kemptville from Grady Logue. John Gedraitis ends with 37-saves, Jacob Biron with 26-saves. 

F | Navan 2 Rockland 3

Navan’s Colin Holmes and Colin MacDougall gets the first two goals for Navan on the board. Followed by a Rockland goal by Kellen Dostaler, making it 2-1 Navan at the end of the first. Rockland takes the second period all in their favour from Kyle Leonard and Guillaume Labre. No scoring in the third. Goaltender Jaeden Nelson gets 26-saves, Wills Seagrave ends with 27-saves.
