CCHL Announces 2017-18 Regular-Season Schedule

Ottawa, Ont. —

The Central Canada Hockey League today released its 2017-18 regular-season schedule.

The league’s 56th season will see 12 teams play a 62-game schedule; six games against divisional opponents, six against two non-divisional opponents, and five against the remaining four non-divisional opponents.

Regular-season play will kick off on Sat. Sept. 2 at the CCHL Labour Day Showcase (Sept. 2-4) hosted by the Bell Sensplex. All 12 teams will play three games apiece over the long weekend.

The regular season will begin with a 1:30 p.m. contest on Sept. 2 between the Cumberland Grads and Pembroke Lumber Kings, and will conclude on Mar. 11 when the Lumber Kings will host the newly-relocated Rockland Nationals.

The CCHL will also host a single-day Thanksgiving showcase on Mon. Oct. 9 at CIH Arena, the home of the Nationals.

Other notable dates on the calendar include Fri. Sept. 8, the fIrst Bogart Cup rematch between Carleton Place and Ottawa, and Sat. Nov. 18 — the third-annual Fish Findlay Classic in Shawville, Que. featuring the Nepean Raiders and Pembroke.

The Kanata Lasers will play five home games in Renfrew.
