Carleton Place Canadians Alumni Colton Point Wins WJC Gold

Buffalo, NY – The Central Canada Hockey League would like to congratulate Carleton Place Canadians alumni Colton Point on winning the World Junior Gold Medal with Team Canada, Friday January 5th 2018.  

Point, 19, made one start in the tournament – making 20 saves for the shut-out against Slovakia in a 6-0 victory for Canada on December 28th 2017. The North Bay, Ontario native has won multiple championships in his career after winning the CCHL’s Bogart Cup and Fred Page Cup in 2016 with the Carleton Place Canadians.

The former Carleton Place project is currently a draft pick of the Dallas Stars after he was selected in the 2016 draft out of the fifth round. He will resume his season with Colgate NCAA D-1 University.
