Canadians Rise in National Rankings

Ottawa, Ont. — The Central Canada Hockey League’s flagship franchise continued to rise up the national rankings, as the Carleton Place Canadians bumped up two spots to No. 2 in the CJHL’s National Top-20.

The Canadians turned in a pair of solid performances en route to road wins over Ottawa (3-2SO) and Rockland (4-0), and extended their winning streak to 14.

Jason Clarke’s team has not lost at home this season (12-0-0) and is averaging a 2.5-goal win this season (plus-65 in 26 games).

The Ottawa Jr. Senators fell three spots to No. 14 following a disappointing week that included the loss to C.P. and a 7-3 drubbing at the hands of the surging Hawkesbury Hawks.

Martin Dagenais’s team sits firmly in second place at 17-4-3, eight points clear of third-place Brockville but 10 points behind the Canadians.
