CANADIANS NICOLAS CARRIER COMMITS TO NCAA NIAGARA FOR 2016-17

The Central Canada Hockey League & Carleton Place Canadians are pleased to announce that ’95 born forward Nicolas Carrier will attend Niagara University this coming fall.

The 5-7, 170 lb St-Cathrine, QC native posted 10 goals and totalled 63 points in 62 regular season games this past season.  He led the entire CCHL with 53 assists and would add another 4 goals and 15 points in 24 playoff and tournament games.

A solid two-way winger who is effective on both the power-play as a set-up man as well as on the penalty kill.  Has high-calibre hockey sense and playmaking ability.  Is an aggressive fore-checker and always finishes his checks which lead to turnovers by the opposition.

Carleton Place Head Coach Jason Clarke added this.

Nick is 5’6 but plays like he’s 6’5.  His compete level was one of the very best in the country this past season.  His heart and compete level will make him an impact player at Niagara immediately.

He will join a Purple Eagles team which already has a number of former Carleton Place alumni on their roster in Devin Campbell, Luke Edwards, Brock Edwards, Larry Smith, and Guillaume Therien.
