The Central Canada Hockey League and Carleton Place Canadians are pleased to announce that ’98 born right shot defenseman Aidan Girduckis has committed to attend NCAA Robert Morris University in the fall of 2018.

The 6-4, 190 lb Belleville, ON native is currently in his first season with the Canadians where he has totalled 3 goals and 12 points through 24 games, which good enough for second in defenseman scoring on the team.

Girduckis is a smooth skating defenseman who has an arsenal of tools.  He has above average awareness and very good mobility for a defenseman his size.  Will make the smart simple play instead of complicating things as he offers a hard and crisp tape-to-tape pass on the breakout.  He plays both penalty kill and power play and doesn’t shy away from the rough stuff as he will make opposing players pay.

As he is not joining the college ranks until the 2018-19 school year, Girduckis will continue to fine-tune his game while adding strength and speed at the junior level.
