CAMERON RUSSELL VERBALLY COMMITS TO SUNY GENESEO FOR 2016-17

The Central Canada Hockey League and Kemptville 73's are proud to announce that '95 born defenseman Cameron Russell has verbally committed to attend SUNY Geneseo in Geneseo, NY for the 2016-17 school year.

Russell, a Royal Oak, MI native is in his second full season of action with the 73's where he is currently tied for 4th overall in league defenseman scoring with 7 goals and 39 points in 60 games.  To his credit he has totalled 17 goals and 65 points in 123 career CCHL games.

The 5-11, 175 two-way defenseman has very good puck skills and skating which go along nicely with his strong point shot and ability to distribute the puck on the powerplay.  He isn't the biggest blueliner in the league but has average size and strength and is one of the most reliable and consistent defenders you will find.
