Bogart Cup Playoff Recap | Braves win Game 7 quadruple overtime thriller

 

BROCKVILLE, ON – It was a game for the ages, the Brockville Braves hosting the Pembroke Lumber Kings in Game 7, two teams who have faced each other countless times through the CCHL’s rich playoff history. This game would not be solved in regulation as it would take an additional four periods of hockey, but the Brockville Braves were able to get the victory, coming back from being down 3-1 in the series just 5 days previous.

Ryan Bonfield tied the game up late in the 2nd period, Caleb Kean would score the quadruple overtime winning goal five periods later, while Sami Molu made 57-saves as the Brockville Braves won their third straight game, to knock out the Pembroke Lumber Kings in Game 7 of the Bogart Cup Quarter Finals.  Pembroke had their lone goal of the game from Jack Stockfish, while Reece Proulx finished with 59-saves in the losing effort.

The Braves are now set to take on the Hawkesbury Hawks in the Bogart Cup Semis with Game 1 of that series scheduled for Sunday April 24th at 7:00PM in Hawkesbury.
