ALUMNI: MCMURTRY CARRIES HUSKIES INTO BEANPOT

Although starting slow in his Senior campaign with just 1 assist through his first 14 games, Greely, ON native Michael McMurtry has taken off as of late with the Northeastern Huskies picking up a whopping 18 points in the past 11 games.  The turn-around could not have come at a better time as Northeastern has been without their top player Kevin Roy for the past two months.

The 23-year old McMurtry, who once suited up for the CCHL's Kemptville 73's and Gloucester Rangers has helped the Huskies get their season back on track as they have gone 8-1-2 in the past 11 games. The team also holds the second longest unbeaten streak in the country going into Monday's Beanpot Semi-Final with Boston University at 7-0-1.
