Commitment Alert | Wolves Mathieu Parent commits to NCAA Potsdam University for 2022-23

 

RENFREW, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Renfrew Wolves are pleased to announce that 2001 born Kapuskasing, ON native Mathieu Parent has committed to NCAA Potsdam University for the 2022-23 school year.

Parent recently completed his final season of junior hockey with the Wolves where he finished fourth on the club with 43 points (17G, 26A) in 55 games of action. He would go on to total another 7 points (4G, 3A) in 11 postseason contests. Over the course of his time in the league, the speedy forward scored 26 goals and totalled 65 points in 126 games between the Wolves, Kanata Lasers, and Hawkesbury Hawks.

“We could not be more happy for Matt,” said Wolves General Manager and Head Coach Ryan Leonard. “He had a lot of school options in Canada and in the USA to continue his education and hockey activities. Potsdam is getting a real dedicated young man who brings work ethic and passion to a team environment.”

Parent is a product of the Kapuskasing Minor Hockey Association.
