Tuesday Playoff Recap | Two Teams Take Big Series Lead

Pembroke, Ontario – The Ottawa Jr. Senators took a 3-1 series lead with a 4-0 victory over the Lumber Kings and the Braves went up 3-0 in their series with a 4-3 double overtime win.

The Ottawa Jr. Senators started off the game slow, scoreless after one and leading 1-0 after two. They managed to score three more in the third after being out-shot 23-18 after two.

Blacksmith scored his first career Jr. A playoff hat-trick and Connor Hicks recorded his second shut-out of the series, making 30 saves. Lalonde, Guy and Salloum had three apples. Lalonde now leads the playoffs with nine points, all of them being assists.

Pembroke scored a goal in the second but it was waved off due to a high-stick by Matthew Barnaby. This series resumes on Thursday night in Ottawa.

F\2nd OT | Brockville 4, Kanata 3 | Braves Lead Series 3-0. 

This game was seen as one of the most entertaining games of the post-season. For the second consecutive contest, these teams went to overtime with Gilmour getting the double overtime winner.

After it was tied 1-1, both team exchanged goals in the third period, tied at three after two and after three.

Braves Eric Holland scored two goals and so did Gilmour. Hill and Kerr also had two assists. Jonathan Hill is now second in points this post-season with eight points in just three games.

Brockville out-shot Kanata 58-53. Boucher scored twice and Marhouser netted two assists. Nocita scored his first career playoff goal and Carriere was back in net making 54 saves. Game four is in Kanata on Thursday.
